(English version below)

What is Double Françoise?

It’s home-made-with-love pop music with a touch of funk and bossa-nova.
The lyrics are written in French, sometimes in English.

Who is Double Françoise?

Maxence: Composer and producer. Multi-instrumentalist. Collects and uses vintage italian keyboards, tape-recorders and Atari computers. monsieurmaxence.fr

Lisa: Lyricist and singer. Obsessed with words, sounds and writing. Collects old bachelors and handsome jewelry. And the other way round.

Soul mates both in life and in the studio, Maxence and Lisa write songs out of utter pleasure to create something together, staying open to outer influences and friends too. Wizzards at their cauldron, they keep searching for the magical melody and chords, for the perfect imperfection, for the moment when « this is it ».

Who is going to like Double Françoise?

All the lovers of good pop music, French chanson, Brazilian grooves, and film scores from the 70s.

But why Double Françoise, by the way?

Their name is a reference to a Les Jumping Jacques song, and also to all the famous French Françoises (Sagan, Dorléac,…) and of course to the most emblematic of them all: Françoise Hardy.
